Ovation Condominiums Overview
Ovation is another fantastic option if you’re looking for a reasonably priced condo in a Buckhead hi-rise. It’s directly across the street from Buckhead Atlanta and sits on the corner of West Paces Ferry and Peachtree Road.
Compared to some of the other hi-rise buildings in the area, Ovation has a more formal and stately exterior, which is appealing to many. Ovation has a slightly different feel inside as well. Its lobby is open, comfortable, and well decorated but isn’t as bright and flashy as some of its compatriots. A 24-hour concierge is there to assist with owner needs and provide secure access for visitors. Residents have access via fob keys that limit access only the homeowner’s floor and the lobby, giving the building an added level of security. The elevator lobby also has a more traditional feel, with dark wood paneling and diagonally set black and white marble tiles.
Ovation Residences
Ovation units feature 9-foot ceilings, and while they don’t have floor-to-ceiling windows, they do have full size sliding glass doors that lead out to the balconies. Units are outfitted with granite countertops, hardwoods in the kitchen and living room, and stainless GE appliances. Like many other high-rise condos in the area, Ovation’s top-floor is home to the penthouse units which feature10-foot ceilings and somewhat more customized features.
The Views, the Views, the Views…
West facing units in Ovation have gorgeous views out to the western horizon and beautiful views of St Regis Hotel. North facing units also have a nice view but it’s somewhat obscured by One Buckhead Plaza which is just across the parking lot. South facing units however, have fantastic, nearly unobstructed views of downtown Atlanta and many of the other high-rises that dot Peachtree Road as it runs towards the city.
Ovation’s Amenities
Ovations amenities can be found on the first floor of the building and include a cozy theater room, gym, bar & lounge area, and pool. The gym is well equipped and feels open and airy with its 15-foot ceilings. There’s an assortment of ellipticals, treadmills, weight machines, and a small assortment of dumbbells and free weights.
The lounge & bar areas are also open and expansive with 15-foot ceilings. It has a classy, yet comfortable feel and sports modern wood trim and darker paint, giving it an overall warmer and more traditional feel. The furniture is high quality and comfortable, and the lounge includes ping-pong and pool tables. A semicircular bar sits in the center and is decked with granite countertops.
While the pool area is certainly nice, it does feel a little boxed in, as it’s surrounded on 2 sides by a mid-rise parking decks. The pool area is nicely designed however and features stacked stone walls, tile patios and high-quality outdoor furniture.
Ovation’s Location
Ovation is tucked just behind the St Regis hotel in one of the most fashionable sections of Buckhead. It’s directly across the street from Buckhead Atlanta and literally steps from Umi, Chops, King and Duke and Whole Foods.
Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a high-rise condo with traditional styling that feels a bit more settled, but still has unbelievable access to some of the most exclusive stores and restaurants in all of Atlanta, you should certainly check out Ovation.
